About Douglas Gardens Elementary

Douglas Gardens Elementary School is one of 12 elementary schools within the Springfield Public Schools district.

Douglas Gardens Elementary has been serving the community for over 50 years. The staff at Douglas Gardens are committed to providing effective instruction using materials that are aligned with state standards.

We have high expectations for all our students and closely monitor student growth to ensure success for all. The staff are committed to learning and using high leverage practices that will maximize student learning. We value having strong relationships between students, teachers, families and the broader community.

School Hours

Regular School Hours (All K-5 Students)
School begins each day at 8:35 a.m. (doors open at 8 a.m. for breakfast) and dismissal is at 2:50 p.m.

Early Release School Hours (All K-5 Students)
School begins each day at 8:35 a.m. (doors open at 8 a.m. for breakfast) and dismissal is at 12:30 p.m.

Office Hours

• On school days, the office opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m.
• On days that students are not in school but the staff are present the office is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• On other days, the office is closed, except by appointment.
